Ramadan is a month of togetherness but for women alone during Ramadan, due to homelessness, fleeing domestic abuse or newcomers without family, Nisa Homes is hosting ‘Sisterhood Iftars’, a night to bring women together to break fast, empower and support one another while fostering connection and community. Nisa Homes is a local shelter established in 2021 that supports survivors of domestic abuse, specifically immigrant, refugee and Muslim women, is organizing the event.
